Background: I worked with the DDB team on a project for Intel, where we were asked to give the Graphics Control Panel (GCP) a new look and feel. The goal was to make the interface more appealing and user-friendly, while keeping it relevant for people who rely on it every day.

Challenge:

  • Our main challenge was to create a unique design that would stand out in a crowded field of similar tools. We wanted something that looked modern and innovative but still felt comfortable for users who were familiar with the current setup. Balancing originality with ease of use was a key focus.

Solution:

  • We explored several design concepts, drawing inspiration from popular gaming interfaces to bring a fresh yet accessible feel to the GCP. We settled on a style that prioritized clarity, openness, and a bit of boldness. This new approach helped the tool feel both cutting-edge and intuitive for users.

Outcome:

The final design offered a modern aesthetic that felt new and exciting, yet still easy to navigate. Intel’s GCP gained a unique identity that not only stood out visually but also enhanced user experience by blending familiar elements with fresh design ideas.
